QUADRA

Need a fast and comprehensive way to search through information?

With QUADRA you can just ask a question and the system will search through data sets on your PC. Unlike search engines, QUADRA will return passages of text taken from within the documents it searched. This way you can get right to the information you need without reading through the whole document. QUADRA was designed to facilitate the research process in a number of ways...

Quick results

QUADRA contains a Fast 5 component that instantly retrieves the top five passages found after a systematic comparison between your question and the retrieved documents.

Get answers

Other search engines just find which document contains the keywords you typed in. QUADRA finds the most relevant passages within the document for you so you don't have to read through the whole document to get to the information you need.

Ask a question

Traditional search engines rely on keyword searches. QUADRA isn't a traditional search engine. QUADRA is a Question Answering System. This means that QUADRA uses natural language questions such as "Do teflon coated pans cause cancer?".

Organize

QUADRA organizes everything as it composes your answer. The system uses a Folders Panel to place the gathered text passages into an easy to use folder tree. By expanding the folders you can focus in on the text passages from this organized view.

Visualize

With QUADRA, you don't just wade through paragraphs of text. QUADRA's advanced Visual Panel allows you to manipulate your results and view an abstract model of your answer. The Visual Panel facilities fast access and filtering of all of the passages in your answer space. The system visually represents text passages using Passage Icons.
